ALS Disease – Former commander dies of ALS

The Charleston Air Force Base is mourning the loss of one of their former commanders. Brig. Gen. Thomas R. Mikolajcik, died at his home Saturday at the age of 63. He battled amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, commonly referred to Lou Gehrig's disease.
